"Touchdown Jesus" is gone. Everyone keeps talking about how sad it is...and that they hope they build another one to replace it...
If Jesus were here on earth, do you REALLY think He'd like to see a 60ft statue of Himself?
On the insurance claim, will the church site it as an "act of God"?

Seriously, I agree. I think it is nothing but a waste of money. That was $250,000 that could have been spent on feeding the hungry and poor, clothing children and people in need and SO much more! Now those are the things Jesus would have done. Besides He did things great enough that He didn't need gimmicks like that.
